One historical site in Jamaica is Devon House in Kingston. It was the home of George Stiebel, Jamaica’s first colored millionaire. Stiebel had gained his wealth in Venezuela and had returned to Jamaica where he served as Custos of St Andrew.
The residence is now used as a museum and is a National Heritage site. It is open to the public for tours and special events. One popular feature is the ice cream shop on the grounds.
