Pitch Lake

The Pitch Lake in Trinidad is one of the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world. It cover over 100 acres and is said to be about 250 feet deep.

Historical Sites in Jamaica

One historical site in Jamaica is Devon House in Kingston. It was the home of George Stiebel, Jamaica’s first colored millionaire. Stiebel had gained his wealth in Venezuela and had returned to Jamaica where he served as Custos of St Andrew.


The residence is now used as a museum and is a National Heritage site. It is open to the public for tours and special events. One popular feature is the ice cream shop on the grounds.
